May’s meeting was all about bags! Members brought some of their favorite creations to share with the guild. Lots of ideas were exchanged.

 

Hexie Fever

The lovely Cindy French joined us to teach English Paper Piecing. Cindy passed out kits and members got to work trying their hand at this fun technique. We have hexie fever!

Cindy gets excited talking about EPP. 🙂

~ June’s Picnic is coming!  See Gwen to sign-up for food assignments. 

Coming in MAY:
~ We’ll be talking about bags!  Bring a bag or purse you’ve made and its pattern for show & tell fun!
~ Charity Sew-In – Immediately following the May meeting. We will be making the cinch sacks and portfolios for the women and children’s shelter.
          Bring a bag lunch, your machine, fabric and supplies.
          Patterns and fabric requirements can be found on the Charity tab above. 
Challenge Quilt: Your second border should include curved piecing and navy blue.
June’s Block of the Month is the String Block. See Susan W. for the grey strip to use in the block’s center.
Don’t forget a little somethin’ for your secret pal! We will be revealing ourselves to our SPs at June’s picnic. Sign-ups for next round will be available at May’s meeting.

A Visit with Alison Glass

This month designer, Alison Glass, came to visit the PMQG! Not only did she share her experiences as a designer, she also brought her pop-up shop and sample quilts. Members had the opportunity to view and purchase her fabrics, patterns, book and more.
