Members of the PMQG are looking forward to another fun year of sharing and learning with friends! As we gear up for 2019, we’d like to say THANK YOU to our new Officers and Board for stepping into these important roles. Here are some highlights planned for this year:
Community Service – This year’s community service project will be toiletry bags for a local women’s shelter. Guild members will be making zip pouches and filling them with necessary items to be handed out. Some of the women at the shelter arrive with little more than the clothes on their back – we’d like to show them love through a hand-made item that’s both lovely and practical.
Mid-Atlantic Quilt Festival – Join us this year at the Mid-Atlantic Quilt Fest where our 2018 Challenges, “Name That Tune” and “Once Around the Block”, will be displayed.
6th Annual Open House – The PMQG turns 6 this year! We’d love for you to come and celebrate with us at our annual open house, held in June. Stay tuned for more info as we plan this exciting day.
Member’s Retreat – The member’s retreat is one of the perks of membership in the PMQG. Members enjoy working on projects while having fun with friends. Food, goody bags, and door prizes are part of the fun. We’d love you to join us! Contact us for membership info and more details.
Holiday Party & Fundraising Auction – Join us in December for our annual Holiday Party! What’s better than spreading holiday cheer with your quilting friends – with great food, door prizes, games, and lots of merry. The highlight of the party is our annual Fundraising Auction – do a little last-minute “shopping” for friends or keep your winnings for yourself. It’s a great time and helps fund the guild for the coming year.
