July Meeting Highlights

This month we beat the heat with some strip poker…. QUILTING strips, that is! Members laughed and cheered as they anted up strips of fabric and rolled the dice for a chance to WIN.

Ante up!!

There’s some serous game play going on.

Everyone hopes to win that pile!

Katie’s enthusiasm was contagious!

Lots of fabric…

… equals happy quilters!

NEXT MONTH:
~ Local artist Alison Glass, designer for Andover fabrics, will share all about turning your art into fabric design. Have a question for Alison? Email it to us at peninsulamqg[at]gmail[dot]com – put “Question for Alison” in the subject line.

~ August’s Block of the Month is the Rail Fence block. You can find directions to this easy block HERE.

Reminders:
~ Quilt-Along participants (who swapped strips at our March meeting): Create anything you want from your blocks.  Your finished projects are due at the OCTOBER meeting. Directions for making your blocks are HERETIP: Be sure the first seam you rip out is a dark fabric and work down from there.

~ Please bring your finished NICU quilts and PeaPods  to any meeting. Details can be found on the “Projects” tab above!

~ Meeting Minutes can be found on our Facebook page. Members not on Facebook can request the minutes by emailing us at peninsulamqg[at]gmail[dot]com.
