It’s that time of year! Every June we celebrate with an open house and invite the community to come see what we’re all about.
Whether you’re a brand new sewist or seasoned quilter, we have something for everyone!
We hope to see you there!
Every October members sew their hearts into hats and scarves for the homeless in our community.
The church’s homeless outreach distributes them throughout the winter months. This year we made over 100 hats and scarves. Great work, everyone!
This August we participated in our first Inter-Guild Swap with our neighbors across the water, the Virginia Beach Modern Quilt Guild.
We met up at the VBMQG’s annual Picnic and enjoyed food, games, and new friends.
Our 3rd Annual Picnic & Open House was a blast, as usual, with food and fun of all kinds.
2016 Raffle Quilt Winner
The winner of the 2016 Raffle Quilt was one of our own, Ursula R.!
We are so fortunate to have so much amazing local talent in our area! In February our good friend, Mary Menzer, came to teach her Improv Mini workshop for us.
Some of us stepped out of our comfort zones easier than others, but we all agreed the end results were worth the leap.
Members had a lot of fun dyeing fabric this month with our own Angelia Armstrong.
Members churned out charity items galore at this month’s Charity Sew Day.
Members worked on their quilting skills in the Quilting Without Marking workshop presented by the talented Debbie Moore.
Some great totes were exchanged at this month’s Swap!
