JOIN US! 2017 Annual Open House

It’s that time of year! Every June we celebrate with an open house and invite the community to come see what we’re all about.
Whether you’re a brand new sewist or seasoned quilter, we have something for everyone!
We hope to see you there!

Community Service Sew-In 2016

Every October members sew their hearts into hats and scarves for the homeless in our community.
The church’s homeless outreach distributes them throughout the winter months.  This year we made over 100 hats and scarves. Great work, everyone!

2016 Picnic & Open House

Our 3rd Annual Picnic & Open House was a blast, as usual, with food and fun of all kinds.
Mini Quilts at the Peninsula Modern Quilt Guild Picnic

Members & Guests could bid on these adorable Picnic Mini quilts.

The Blocks-of-the-Month added decoration.

A picnic isn’t a picnic without great food!

Quilt Bingo has become a Picnic favorite.

2016 Raffle Quilt Winner

The winner of the 2016 Raffle Quilt was one of our own, Ursula R.!

The lovely Valerie Lee, aka VaLouise, came to share her trunk show and teach members tips and tricks using BlocLoc Rulers for fabulous results.

Members had the opportunity to try different rulers and share their own favorites.

We are so fortunate to have so much amazing local talent in our area! In February our good friend, Mary Menzer, came to teach her Improv Mini workshop for us.
Some of us stepped out of our comfort zones easier than others, but we all agreed the end results were worth the leap.

2015 Charity Sew Day

Members churned out charity items galore at this month’s Charity Sew Day.

The day ended with 52 scarves for the homeless and over 25 each of the portfolios and cinch sacks for the women’s shelter. Great job, everyone!

Scarves for the homeless left at the church’s altar.
Portfolios & Cinch sacks for the women and children at the shelter.

Quilting Without Marking

Members worked on their quilting skills in the Quilting Without Marking workshop presented by the talented Debbie Moore.

Some great totes were exchanged at this month’s Swap!
